Set a controlled frying test

Preheat clean cooking oil within the referenced 160–180°C range and record actual temperature, equipment, oil type and load.

Remove crackers promptly after complete expansion and pale-golden colour, then drain consistently before evaluation.

Measure expansion and quality

Compare dry and cooked dimensions, expansion ratio, shape retention, blistering, broken pieces and colour.

Assess crispness, seafood flavour, aftertaste and oil uptake against the approved sample.

Control repeatability

Repeat the test across production lots and realistic foodservice batch sizes.

Define acceptable ranges and retain photos, weights, samples and cooking records for supplier and buyer review.

Separate alternative methods

Validate the 600–1000 W, 40–60 second microwave reference using a safe vessel and specific load.

Validate the 100 g, 3–5 minute soup reference for texture and service suitability before placing it on a label.

Important: Product specifications, import rules and required documents vary by SKU and destination. Confirm the applicable requirements with the selected supplier, importer and qualified local advisers before ordering or printing labels.
