Start with sufficient boiling water
The supplied reference uses one part dry pearls to ten parts water. Test this ratio with the actual pot, heat recovery and batch load.
Add pearls only when the water is boiling and stir early to reduce sticking and clumping.
Validate boil and rest time
A 25–30 minute boil is a reference for the selected listing. Pearl diameter, formula and equipment can require a different time or a covered rest period.
Cut or bite representative pearls to check centre texture and record the accepted process.
Measure cooked yield and texture
Weigh the drained cooked batch and assess roundness, chewiness, surface condition, sticking and breakage.
Repeat tests across lots and batch sizes before publishing yield or serving calculations.
Control sweetening and holding
Define rinse method, syrup concentration, holding temperature and container. These steps affect sweetness, firmness and beverage consistency.
Set a validated usable time and disposal point rather than keeping cooked pearls indefinitely.
