Start with the approved frozen specification

Record the storage temperature, shelf life, pack format and handling instructions stated for the selected SKU. A commonly referenced condition is at or below -18°C, but the signed specification and final label govern the commercial program.

Map the frozen chain from factory release through loading, transport, customs handling, delivery and customer storage. Identify who records temperature and who responds to an excursion.

Validate thawing under real service conditions

Test the supplier's recommended thawing method using the actual pack size. Record thawing time, product temperature, liquid separation, texture, color and flavor before service.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing unless the approved instructions explicitly permit it. Portion planning can reduce unnecessary exposure during restaurant or buffet service.

Define after-thaw controls

Confirm the required refrigerated condition and usable period after thawing or opening. These values depend on formulation, process, packaging and validation, so they should come from the selected product documentation.

For foodservice use, create a simple procedure covering date marking, clean utensils, covered storage and disposal at the approved limit.

Approve ingredients, allergens and market-language labels

Check the full formula and allergen statement rather than relying on a generic description such as seasoned seaweed. Confirm whether sesame, soy, wheat or other regulated allergens are present in the selected dressing.

Review product name, net quantity, storage and thawing instructions, date coding, origin, importer details and mandatory destination-market language before artwork approval.

Keep shipment and traceability records connected

Link purchase order, SKU specification, lot codes, production dates, carton marks, temperature records and shipping documents. This creates a clearer evidence trail for receiving checks and repeat orders.

If certification is required, verify the current certificate holder, facility, scope and validity rather than copying a marketplace listing into the finished label.

Important: Product specifications, import rules and required documents vary by SKU and destination. Confirm the applicable requirements with the selected supplier, importer and qualified local advisers before ordering or printing labels.
